Growers of the Albion strawberry are rare, the reason being is that the plant doesn’t produce many fruit, and the fruit stays on the plant longer compared to other varieties.
This makes them beautifully sweet because each strawberry doesn’t compete for nutrients and the sugars develop and mature for longer. Grown by the Lieu family just north of Perth, their Heavenly strawberries are carefully selected from their Albion variety plants, brix tested for high sugar levels then hand packed for you to enjoy. The season generally starts in September.
